Biography
Sid Moore is a semi-retired lawyer with offices in Montezuma and Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating from Mercer University Law School in 1968 he was awarded a Reginald Heber Smith Fellowship from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and served two years representing poor consumers in Arkansas and Georgia. He was then awarded a full scholarship to the University of Wisconsin Law School where he earned his Master of Laws degree in 1971.

Sid spent the next eight years honing his skills in the defense of consumers…first as regional director of the Georgia Legal Services Program, then as litigation coordinator of the National Consumer Law Center in Boston and after a few years in private practice spent two years as Georgia’s first full-time consumer counsel, fighting rate increase cases before the Georgia Public Service Commission.

In 1979 he opened a general litigation practice in Decatur, Georgia, and spent the next 27 years doing defense litigation. He has served as lead counsel for the defense in criminal or civil cases in 25 states and the District of Columbia, a record achieved by few, if any, private practitioners in the country. He has also served as class counsel in Georgia class actions resulting in millions of dollars of refunds to Georgia consumers, including most recently a $6,000,000 recovery of insurance premiums from one of the largest bank holding companies in the United States.

The fee for this service is a nominal $250 on a temporary introductory basis. If the response shows that there is a genuine need for this service it will be continued and refined through experience. Those who are dissatisfied with the response to their inquiry will receive a total refund without question, but will be unable to submit questions in the future.
